Instrumental Lessons

A wide variety of instrumental lessons on violin, viola, cello, piano, flute, clarinet, sax, trumpet, trombone, baritone horn and percussion are provided by highly skilled and experienced team of professional freelance staff. We currently average approximately 150 lessons per term and pupils are encouraged to study for Associated Board grade exams. Although we host these lessons, they are run by external companies such as the Richmond Music Trust. Any queries regarding instrumental lessons should be sent straight to the company operating the lessons rather than the school itself.

How do Instrumental Lessons at HHJS Work?

We are proud at HHJS to have Visiting Music Teachers, all professional musicians who teach on a freelance basis at the school, enabling our pupils to have the option of individual or paired lessons and the benefits of short waiting lists, excellent progress and direct communication between parent and teacher, similar to a private lesson.

All music lessons are during the school day with the times rotated.

Please contact the teachers directly for further information or any queries regarding your child's music lessons as the school only host the music teachers and will not be able to help with any queries regarding music lessons run by external companies.
